Wall post privacy

Pt. 8 of 10 | 1:22 |

Facebook Privacy Primer

Wednesday June 16, 2010
The wall is a dangerous place on

Facebook

. It's where all of your friends get to post whatever they want and it links right back to you. Not only that, but it's searchable on search engines like Google. You can change that, however, by changing some simple

privacy settings

from your profile page. Just like with photo albums, you can customize

who can view your wall

and add people who can't.

UPDATE: Facebook has begun rolling out new and simplified privacy settings for some users. Many of the tips in this series still directly apply however.

- Facebook Wall posts can be searched for on search engines like Google.

- You can change this from your profile page.

- Just go to your profile page, then Options, then Settings.

- Under Who can see posts made by friends, make your selection.

- If you select custom, you can once again choose from friends, friends of friends, or custom.
