Show Notes

- Bandwidth is a measure of how much data can pass through a connection in a given period of time.

- In computers, it's often referred to as net bit rate.

- Today, many use the term throughput when referring to bandwidth.

- Throughput is the sum of data that's delivered successfully over a communication channel.

- You can go to Bandwidth Place to test your upload and download speeds.

- Download speeds will always be greater than upload speeds.

- A broadband connection gives you more bandwidth than a dial-up connection because you're using a wider "pipe" to transfer data.
