- Dual core refers to the fact that the CPU, or central processing unit, essentially has two processors, or "cores" in one chip.

- Dual core processors are much larger than some of the early computer processors, out performing them by a considerable magnitude in regards to computing power.

- If you compare an early 8086 chip to a Pentium 4 dual core chip, you see the difference in size.

- Dual core processors give your computer much more computing power.
