What is NTFS

NTFS or New Technology File System

is the current standard for Windows based computers. NTFS if faster, more reliable and just generally better than previous file systems. The file system on your computer has come a long way since the early days of computers; the way data is stored and found has improved greatly over the years and NTFS is one of those improvements.
