Show Notes

- "SSL" stands for Secure Sockets Layer.

- SSL is used to encrypt and secure transactions between a client and a server.

- SSL is rather complex so our tutorial covers the basic premise.

- When you go to purchase something from a retailer, your computer exchanges "keys" with the retailer.

- Your key and their key are encrypted as part of your transaction so the transaction is secure.

- This encryption creates a layer of security that your transaction passes through.

- SSL is extremely secure and commonly found on sites that handle business transations.
