Show Notes

- Syncing, in relation to computers, refers to file synchronization.

- Synchronizing files involves having multiple copies of the same file on multiple computers.

- There are a number of excellent sites and services for doing file synchronization:

MobileMe

Dropbox

SugarSync

- In our example, we used SugarSync, which we recommend.

- In SugarSync, I synchronize files between a PC, a Mac and virtual machines.

- If the PC crashes, the important files I've synced are all over on the Mac.

- So syncing is a great way to have the same files in multiple places and a way to back them up as well.
