In this episode, we'll introduce you to the
HP TouchPad
and walk you through some of the hardware features and design elements. As you might expect, thistablet computer
is similar in design to the popular iPad by Apple, offering a9.7-inch touchscreen
as well as a front-facing camera. It's also equipped with adual core Snapdragon CPU

The HP TouchPad is the first tablet to be offered by HP using the Palm OS. Specifically, the TouchPad uses webOS, as did the Palm Pre. The TouchPad is similar in shape to the iPad in some ways, and we'll go through some of the similarities and differences in design in this episode.
First, there's the 9.7-inch touchscreen. Also, the bezel features a camera at the top with a single "home" button at the bottom. The top of the device features a power button and a headphone jack. On the left, you'll find some high-quality speakers while on the right, you'll find the volume rocker. The bottom is where you'll find the USB port for charging or connecting to your computer. On the back you'll find the HP logo and some information about the device.
Inside the TouchPad, you've got Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. There is no support for cellular connectivity at the moment though that may come in future releases. The TouchPad also has either 16 or 32 GB of RAM as well as a dual core Snapdragon CPU. There is also a discreet graphics component that allows for playing high-definition 3D games.
