- BitLocker encrypts your drive and all the data.
- There are certain system requirements that must be met in order to turn on BitLocker.
- To use BitLocker on a data drive it has to have 64MB of memory and be formatted with FAT16, FAT32, exFAT, or NTFS.
- To use it on the Windows drive the computer must have a TMP, Trusted Platform Module, chip OR
- You must have a removable USB flash drive to hold the encryption key data.
