Snipping Tool in Windows 7

is where you'll want to turn your attention. This tool lets you

grab quick clips and screenshots

, save them and share them via email.

Show Notes

- The

Snipping Tool

is a new feature in Windows 7.

- Click Start and then click Snipping Tool.

- If you don't see the tool when you click Start, then Click Accessories and you'll find Snipping Tool there.

- Open the Snipping Tool. It may white-out your screen depending on the settings. If so, just click Cancel.

- Click Options to set the options you want.

- You can have snips always go to the clipboard.

- If snipping HTML you can have the URL placed at the bottom of the snip.

- You can have it prompt you to save before exiting.

- You can select the ink color.

- You can elect to show the ink color after the snip is completed.

- You can also hide the instructional text.

- Click New and select whether you want to do a free-form, rectangular, window, or full screen snip.

- Select the area you want to capture by clicking and dragging the mouse.

- When you're done you clip will appear in a Snipping Tool window.

- Here you can mark your clip with a pen.

- Highlight text in your clip.

- Save your clip and any changes.

- Copy your clip.

- Email your clip right from the Snipping Tool.
