Google Maps is handy on your desktop and on your BlackBerry. It's great for getting directions from one place to another. At the same time,

however, it can also give you an idea of

what kind of traffic you're looking at down the road

.

Show Notes

- With

Google Maps on your BlackBerry

highlight Google Maps and press the trackball or press the touchscreen.

- In Google Maps navigate to the area where you'll be driving.

- Click the BlackBerry menu button and select

Show traffic

.

- You'll see colors start to show up along the roads and highways.

- Green means traffic is flowing nicely.

- Yellow means you have some slowdowns, but traffic is moving.

- Red means traffic is not moving well and you can expect delays.

- By looking before you start a trip you can get an idea if there are
any problem spots along your route.

- To turn off traffic just click the BlackBerry menu buttons and select
Hide traffic.
