Working with Web Clips

In your Gmail account, you may notice something that Gmail calls a Web Clip running across the top of your browser. By default, Gmail delivers quick news clips and quotes that are linked so you can get the full story. However, as with most things Gmail, you're not stuck with the default options. Today, we'll show you how to change the Gmail Web Clips to display news stories and other content that is specifically relevant to you.

Adding or deleting Web Clips

- Click on the (now familiar) Settings option at the top right of the Gmail window.

- In the Settings window, click on the Web Clips tab.

- Using the checkbox at the top of the Web Clips you can select whether or not to display Web Clips atop the Gmail window.

- In the list below, you can remove specific Web Clip categories that Google offers.

- Add Web Clips to the Web Clips bar by typing a keyword or URL into the search bar.

- Under the Browse clips in... heading, you can also browse by category to add Web Clips that are of interest to you

- Your newly selected Web Clips will appear in the top bar of your Gmail page. Use the arrow buttons on the far right of the Web Clips bar to move backward and forward through Web Clips.
