Finding your way with Google Maps

Getting simple and easy to follow directions is all well and good. However, with Google Maps, you can do much more than that. You can get directions to major attractions, restaurants and stores near you by just entering in the name. You can add multiple destinations, perfect for road trips, family outings and the like.

To get directions
- Simply enter in your starting and ending locations and click on Get Directions.
- If it's a major point of interest, simply enter in the name of the attraction; no need for an address.
- Likewise, you can navigate to restaurants by name.
- Click on Add Destination to punch in more than one stop.
- Choose from the available options: Avoid highways, Avoid tolls, whether to display distances in metric or Imperial as well as your mode of transportation. Click on Get Directions.
- To re-route without changing your addresses, simply drag the blue navigation line and drop it on your preferred road or highway.
- Where available, Street View gives you a street-level look at points on your map so you know what to look for. Just click the camera icon beside each direction prompt.
- To reverse your directions to get re-routed to your starting point, click on the reverse directions icon.
